My practice style is open, engaging, empathetic, and holistic. We use Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) Person-in-Environment (PIE) theory, positive psychology and cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) are utilized in practice. I have a background in social work, mental health, behavioral health, and intensive care nursing. This background allows me to have a unique view of your health.

During the initial visit, one would expect several things. There is a mix of rapport building and education. Also, taking care of the necessary paperwork is needed. I would explain my role as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. My role is to assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric and mental health conditions. This is done with psychiatric medications and therapy. If a patient is interested in psychotherapy, arrangements can be made, since I am also a licensed master social worker.
